Air and Water Access

West Virginia s accessible public airport network effectively connects the state to the world. In less than an hour of flight time, passengers can arrive in Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, Charlotte or Cincinnati. Additionally, a major transpark is under development to provide enhanced cargo and passenger service for the region. An extensive network of modern river terminals and public ports is being developed to enhance the benefits of low-cost river transportation. Companies located in PAZ will be able to take advantage of inland ports and free trade zones.

Highway Access

Few regions are better served by the federal interstate Highway System than the Polymer Alliance Zone, Inc. U.S. Route 50, a major four-lane highway, runs east/west connecting the west coast to the nation s capital and cutting through the heart of PAZ. U.S. Routes 33 and 35 serve as major trucking and motor freight routes to the Midwest and to primary markets along the Great Lakes, while I-77 serves the north/south corridors between Cleveland and Columbia.

With an eye toward the future, West Virginia voters recently passed a $550 million bond referendum to improve and expand roadway infrastructure.

RailRoad Access

The Polymer Alliance Zone, Inc is crisscrossed by rail lines to allow chemicals and other raw materials to be economically transported into the area. CSX and Conrail provide service to PAZ, intersecting at a major switching station in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
