Although some fraction of consumer electronics are disposed in landfills across the country, an even more ominous environmental concern has arisen with the exposure of exported products for unsafe recycling.

By identifying, engineering and possibly reconfiguring existing processes, the MARCEE team hopes to enhance the best available technologies for recycling end-of-life electronics and products.

Together, MARCEE players will provide a technical process that will demonstrate that the design and integration of recycling, re-engineering and remanufacturing can be socially and economically achieved.
